How Do You Convert PNG to JPG?
To convert PNG to JPG, add the PNG to the converter above, keep JPG selected, choose a quality (90 is a good start) and click Convert; the JPG downloads from your browser without being uploaded.
- Add your PNG files.
- Choose JPG and set the quality.
- Pick a background if the PNG has transparent areas.
- Convert and download.
What Happens to Transparency?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas are filled with a solid color. White is the default, and you can pick another color before converting. If you need to keep the transparent background, stay with PNG or use WebP.
What Quality Should You Choose?
For photos, a quality of about 80 to 90 usually gives a much smaller file with little visible change. Screenshots, text and sharp graphics can show blocky artifacts in JPG, so keep those as PNG or use a higher quality. If the JPG is still too large, use the image compressor to lower the dimensions as well. For the full trade-offs, read PNG vs JPEG.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I convert PNG to JPG?
Add the PNG to the converter, keep JPG selected, set the quality and click Convert.
Does converting PNG to JPG reduce quality?
A little, because JPG is lossy. A quality of 90 or above keeps the difference hard to see for photos.

The transparent areas are filled with the background color you choose, white by default.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser on your device.
